Distribution Associate

The Distribution Associate must be a team-oriented individual capable of working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Position responsibilities include receiving, restocking, picking, packaging and auditing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment as well as housekeeping duties associated with maintaining an organized, clean and safe work environment. This individual must serve as a contributing member of the Distribution team while championing Stryker’s Vision, Promise and Mission.

Individual Responsibilities:

• Proactively collaborates with internal teams/departments to promote a culture of inclusiveness and cooperation
• Responsible to live and drive Stryker’s five success factors: Quality First, Customer Experience, Innovation, People Development, and Financial Results

Functional Responsibilities:

• Be actively involved in projects and process optimization in the distribution center
• Contribute to maintenance and implementation of distribution performance metrics
• Perform root cause analysis, corrective action, and troubleshooting duties
• Segregate, unpack and check goods against purchase orders or invoices
• Maintain records of received goods, alerting appropriate personnel of receipt discrepancies
• Lift and move medium and heavier weight items
• Pick, pack, and accurately confirm goods prior to shipment
• Prepare and maintain records of items shipped
• Examine stock and distribute goods in inventory and in other areas
• Data entry using the inventory management system
• Train others in distribution related tasks
• Other duties as assigned by Manager
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, professional image at all times
• Proactive mindset and collaborative approach to problem solving
• Strong Analytical skills and experience with Oracle an asset
• Accuracy is essential for data entry skills
• Knowledge of proper lifting/body mechanic techniques and adherence to health and safety regulations
• Superior time management skills, ability to manage multiple functions and adhere to daily deadlines
• Ability to work in a fast paced and active environment
• Flexibility to work a variety of day shifts in a 40 hour work week
• Completed post-secondary education program required (Distribution, Supply Chain, or Logistics Program Preferred)
• Internal applicants with an equivalent combination of education, experience and performance over time at Stryker will be considered
