The Sense & Warn (S&W) site lead is the onsite point of contact (POC) for S&W operations, equipment, and personnel. The site lead will be capable of operating and monitoring the S&W C2 and Radars systems when required to assist S&W operations.
Supervisory Responsibility: Coordinate briefs for U.S. Department of State supervisors, RSOs, and CTCs.
Must have a current US Government SECRET Personnel Security Clearance. Must be eligible for and able to obtain and maintain required Security Clearance/access approvals. High school diploma plus ten (10) years professional work experience required in a military or government environment. Project management experience preferred.
A TOP SECRET Personnel Security Clearance may be required to meet changing requirements.
Minimum of seven (7) years job-related experience as target acquisition radar, air defense radar, or indirect fire subject matter expert or five years of experience relating to Sense and Warn operations. Recent military or contractor Counter Rocket Artillery Mortar (C-RAM) experience in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom preferred.
Position requires self-motivation and the ability to work effectively under minimal supervision. Must demonstrate the ability to interact with all levels of an organization in a professional, diplomatic, and tactful manner. Must demonstrate a good attitude and ability to work as a member of a cohesive team. Must be able to multi-task efficiently, work in a fast paced environment on multiple projects, and have strong attention to detail. Must possess excellent writing and verbal skills. Must be proficient with Microsoft Windows operating systems and office automation software (e.g., Microsoft Office, SharePoint).
Must be able to obtain a DoS Medical clearance within 45 days of start and maintain it throughout employment. Domestic travel may be required for training and program coordination. May be required to spend several months in the Washington D.C. metro area for training and S&W support duties prior to departure to assigned overseas work location. Must also be willing to serve in positions worldwide, which may include domestic assignments. Overseas locations may be located in high-risk environments.
