 | | Systems Engineer - ATC | | US - Virginia - Herndon (VA27) | | Yes - Required to Start | | TS/SCI with Lifestyle Poly | | Project Overview SRA provides Enterprise Architecture and System Engineering support to an Intelligence Community (IC) customer. The Sponsor is responsible for providing a comprehensive, actionable, and enterprise-level architecture for the Agency, and to ensure alignment of the component architectures with Federal, Intelligence Community (IC), Information Sharing Environment, and Agency strategic directions. The Sponsor’s goal is to drive the architecture downward into the various organizations as a trusted expert and strategic partner. SRA’s support focuses on assisting the Sponsor in developing elements of the Enterprise Architecture (EA) and providing engineering and architecture support to the Government Program Managers for the projects and organizations the Sponsor Office serves. SRA has supported the IC for over 15 years. Throughout this time we have repeatedly delivered mission focused solutions, which not only meet, but often exceed, our customer’s needs. SRA has openings for mid-level Systems Engineers to support this project. Project locations will include Herndon and Vienna, VA.
** This position requires an active TS/SCI security clearance with a lifestyle polygraph. Candidates that do not currently have this clearance will not be considered.
Responsibilities: This project provides support in preparing engineering studies to determine the optimal methodology for successful implementation of various IT initiatives (such as multilevel operating capability, field-based applications, directory services integration, etc).
Also provides end-to-end technical reviews of various Agency IT efforts to include: • use of supported products, • data storage and platform requirements, • network requirements, • access issues, • maintenance plans, • disaster recovery plans, • security, • and recommendations for meeting future Agency IT architecture requirements. • Analyzes and studies complex operational requirements and devolves them into the detailed tool and system requirements. • Evaluates and provides periodic updates on relevant technological advances. • Performs technological trade-off studies. • Oversees tool and system/subsystem design and manages their implementation and integration. • Manages development and support activities using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, and other accepted design review/techniques and tools. • Estimates tool/system development costs and schedules. • Reviews existing programs and assists in making refinements, reducing operational response times, and improving current techniques.
